Timi William

I am a BACP registered counsellor, offering a space to explore different parts of yourself with curiosity. Together, we look at patterns in your life and relationships, gently challenge what may be keeping you stuck, and question expectations shaped by your upbringing, culture and Eurocentric ideas.

I work with people across different backgrounds and identities,  My training is humanistic. I see you as a whole person, shaped by your experiences, relationships and the world around you. Together, we explore your stories, beliefs and patterns, how they formed, whether they still serve you, and whether you return to them because they feel familiar. My approach is warm, creative  and collaborative. I also challenge, confront and shine a light where needed, with care and curiosity. A question I wrestle with in my own therapy is: insight and awareness can be useful, perhaps even necessary, but what does it mean to live with that understanding? Together, we explore this in your relationships, your choices and everyday life.

Areas of Interest

I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, including concerns around pornography use, trauma, grief and life transitions. My interests also include exploring relationships, shame, identity, sexuality, belonging and the patterns we develop to protect ourselves, some of which may no longer serve us. You do not have to identify with any particular issue or be in crisis to come to therapy. You might simply feel stuck, find yourself repeating familiar patterns, or want space to pause, reflect and understand yourself and your relationships better.
