Rebecca Stevenson

Therapist

I am a NCPS registered Psychotherapist & Counsellor, offering a supportive and non-judgemental space to explore emotional difficulties and move forward with your life.

I believe that people are best able to make sense of how their experiences impact their present lives when they feel seen and heard within a respectful therapeutic relationship. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, my approach is humanistic and individualized for each client. I draw from psychodynamic, relational, systems theory, strength-based and client centred approaches. I have additional training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and CBT for suicidal patients. I trained in the USA and have a Masters in Clinical Social Work, this is the equivalent in the UK to a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy. My MSW further informs my practice. I have a holistic approach and consider the whole person and their environment.
